Ellis started the site on the view that most trading education explains what a pattern looks like and stops there. The guides here are written the other way round: what has to happen in the order book to produce the pattern, what the trade is, where the stop goes, and the conditions under which the whole idea fails.
As editor, Ellis reads every guide on the site before it goes live and again whenever it is revised, checking definitions, worked examples and the arithmetic in every table. Corrections from readers go to Ellis first and are fixed with the change noted.

How the guides are written
Every guide on the site is held to the same four rules: explain the mechanism behind a pattern or method, not only its shape; give real space to the conditions under which it fails; describe behaviour qualitatively where a statistic cannot be sourced rather than inventing one; and put the arithmetic on the page so you can check it. The full editorial policy sets out how content is produced and corrected, and the contact page is the fastest route to getting an error fixed.
