Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we do not, and why our calculators never send your numbers anywhere.
The short version
- We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name or email unless you contact us.
- Everything you type into our calculators stays on your device. It is never transmitted, stored or logged.
- We use our own aggregated analytics, plus Google Analytics, to understand which pages are read. Neither asks for your name or email.
- We do not sell data. There is nothing to sell.
Our calculators
Every calculator on Stock Tips Daily runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Account balances, entry prices, stop levels and position sizes are processed locally and are never sent to any server. You can verify this by opening your browser's developer tools and watching the network tab while you use one.
Information we collect automatically
Like almost all websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs containing IP address, browser type, the page requested and a timestamp. These are used for security and to diagnose faults, and are retained only for a limited period.
We run our own aggregated analytics to see which pages are useful. It measures page views and referrers in aggregate, sets no cookies, and does not follow you to other sites.
We also use Google Analytics, which is a Google service and works differently. It sets
cookies in your browser, beginning _ga, to tell repeat visits from new ones,
and the data it collects is processed by Google under
their privacy policy. If
you would rather it did not, Google publishes a
browser opt-out
add-on, and most browsers can block these cookies directly.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage for one thing only: remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme. That preference stays on your device and is not readable by us.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies, as described above. They are used to count visits and are not used by us to identify anybody.
The site carries advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners set their own cookies in your browser and use them to choose which ads you see and to limit how often you see the same one. What they collect is governed by Google's advertising policy, and you can review or turn off ad personalisation in My Ad Center.
Information you give us
If you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to send, typically an email address and your message. We use it to reply and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit request.
Third parties
Our site is served through a content delivery network, which processes requests in order to deliver pages and protect against attacks. We do not sell anything to data brokers or marketing companies, and we hand nothing over ourselves. Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both described above, run in your browser and receive data directly.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Since we hold very little, such requests are usually simple. Contact us and we will respond.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and will revise the date above. Please check back occasionally.
